About Kelly Klingaman, CFP®, RLP®
Hi there, I’m Kelly Klingaman – financial advisor for professional women and their families. If you're part of a high-achieving two-income household, I bet life is busy and you're juggling a lot, particularly those of you in your early to mid-career with young children. Together we can navigate your high-income years and get clear on how to live a great life using money as a tool.👩💼 Professional:
Prior to founding KKFP, I spent nearly 12 years building a career in the investment management industry at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a large asset manager whose long-term approach to investing relies on financial science instead of attempting to guess where markets are going next. Most recently I was a Regional Director and Vice President on the sales team and Lead Chair of the inaugural Women’s Inclusion Network for employees.
I received a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, and I also hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Registered Life Planner® designations.
🏐 Personal:
I’m a born-and-raised Texan and have called Austin my home since 2007. My husband Matt and I have two young kiddos, plus our “first-born” – a German Shorthaired Pointer. On the weekend you’ll find our crew kayaking and paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake and stopping at Tacodeli for lunch. In the evenings, we like to put on a Star Wars movie, make homemade pizza, and play a ruthless game of UNO.
As for me, my favorite ways to stay active are playing sand volleyball and walking/hiking around Austin while I listen to a good audiobook. Although my husband is the chef in our family, I've been perfecting my famous chocolate chip cookie recipe for 15+ years - ask me about the recipe sometime!

About Kelly Klingaman Financial Planning
If you’re a professional woman, especially as the primary breadwinner in a two-income household, I understand how it feels when there are never enough hours in a day, and how overwhelming stress often accompanies the balancing act of our personal and professional lives. On top of that, the path to career success is often fraught with roadblocks that men, on average, never face. One area in particular that never gets the attention it deserves from successful professional women? Their personal finances. What’s worse is the financial services industry tends to neglect this need because it wasn’t designed with women in mind.
A big factor: most financial advisors are men. The CFP Board recently reported that only 23.4% of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals are women, a number that has hovered steadily around this point for over a decade.
My own experiences and observations pushed me to want better outcomes for women in the corporate world, so I built a business to offer customized financial guidance with all of their needs in mind.
This is the time to start optimizing your high-income years and make sure you’re using your financial resources effectively in order to enjoy life now and the journey ahead.
My Core Business Values:
✅ Integrity: As a fee-only fiduciary, I am bound to act in your best interest at all times when providing financial advice.
✅ Stewardship: I take great responsibility in managing your family’s financial well-being and will advocate for you to use your resources in alignment with your values.
✅ Curiosity: I approach every conversation prepared to listen deeply with empathy and care. You’ll know you’re in a safe space to ask questions, free of any judgment.
✅ Joy: Personal finance is more personal than it is finance. I’ll help you slow down and be present in order to experience the small, everyday moments that life has to offer.
✅ Kindness: “Be kind, be safe, be an includer.” A phrase I repeat with my kids each morning that carries over into my work. Our conversations are a space where you can be yourself and trust you have my enduring support.

Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone.
