About Jason P. Berube
My path hasn’t been traditional, and neither is the life of a business owner.I grew up around family-owned construction businesses where success meant showing up early, staying late, and carrying the pressure of everyone depending on you — whether anyone noticed or not.
That world shaped the way I understand ownership today.
A lot of businesses look successful from the outside. Revenue is growing. Projects are moving. The company has momentum. But behind the scenes, many owners still feel like everything depends on them to keep it moving forward.
Over time, growth can create more pressure instead of more freedom.
That’s the reality I help owners navigate every day.
Over the last 15+ years, through leadership roles in financial services, business-owner planning work, and now leading Cornerstone, I’ve learned that the real goal isn’t simply building a profitable company. It’s building a business that can eventually support your life instead of consuming all of it.
At Cornerstone, I primarily work with construction entrepreneurs and privately held business owners who want to create stronger structure inside the business, reduce long-term dependency on themselves, and make more intentional decisions about what comes next.
That often includes conversations around succession, continuity, tax coordination, enterprise value, operational structure, and family priorities. I also help coordinate conversations between accountants, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other specialists so owners are not left trying to connect every moving piece themselves.
Most owners do not need more disconnected opinions. They need clearer structure, better coordination, and a business that becomes less dependent on them over time.
Outside of work, I live in Beverly, Massachusetts with my family. You’ll usually find me coaching football, following Boston sports, or enjoying a round of golf.
If you’re a business owner thinking more seriously about structure, succession, or long-term business continuity, let’s connect.

About Cornerstone Wealth Consulting Services, LLC
Cornerstone works with construction entrepreneurs and privately held business owners who want to build businesses that create more freedom, flexibility, and long-term value. As businesses grow, complexity grows with them. More decisions fall back on the owner. More responsibility becomes concentrated in one person. Over time, growth can create more pressure instead of more freedom.
Cornerstone helps owners reduce dependency, strengthen structure, improve coordination, and think more intentionally about the future.
Our work often includes conversations around succession, continuity, enterprise value, tax coordination, business continuity, and long-term planning. We help coordinate conversations between accountants, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other specialists so owners aren't left trying to connect every moving piece on their own.
We believe successful businesses should eventually create more freedom, not less.
Because great businesses don't just generate income—they support the life of the person who built them.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
